As per IRCC, CUAET applicants must complete an normal immigration medical exam as of August 1, 2025.
Preparation and What to Bring
- Government issued identification
- Any IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) paperwork
- All prescription medication bottles or packages
- Any previous medical reports
- Canadian Debit, Cash, and Credit Card accepted for all services – $10 fee applies for credit or international card
- Additional testing and payment may be required based on your medical history
- No payment is required for refugee medical exams, as outlined by IRCC
Immigration Medical Examination Report
After your IRCC medical exam, you will receive an Information Sheet with your unique medical case number (IME or UMI). This serves as proof of exam completion and is all you need for your application. Ordering a report is optional for personal records.

Can my family doctor do the immigration medical exam?
No. Only a Government-approved IRCC Panel Physician can conduct immigration medical exams and submit results to IRCC — a family doctor cannot.

- Blood tests (for ages 15+)
