No. Only a government-approved IRCC panel physician can conduct immigration medical exams and submit results to IRCC — a family doctor cannot.

A physical examination with the panel physician; a chest X-ray for ages 11 and older; and blood tests for ages 15 and older. Some applicants may require additional testing depending on age and health history. At our clinics, all of these happen in the same visit, at the same location.

Yes — an upfront medical exam can be done before you submit your application. If you are unsure whether your application type allows it, confirm with IRCC first.

Plan for roughly 1.5 hours, including the physician review, chest X-ray and bloodwork. Because everything is done on-site, one visit is normally all you need.

IRCC may ask for follow-up information or testing (called a “furtherance”). Return to us and we will complete the requested tests. We can explain what each test involves medically; questions about why IRCC requested it should go to IRCC directly.

Yes — you receive an Information Sheet with your unique medical case number (IME/UMI) after your exam. It is proof of completion and all your application needs. A printed copy of your full report is optional, for your own records.

No — vaccination records are generally not required for an immigration medical exam completed within Canada.

Yes. Multiple panel physicians work at our clinics, each approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to provide immigration medical exams.

No fasting is needed. Wear a loose-fitting top so our technicians can easily access your arm for the blood test.

Yes. Pregnant applicants may complete the exam, and can choose to defer the chest X-ray until after pregnancy. Our panel physicians will counsel you on the options.

No — we take a digital photo at the clinic. You do need government-issued identification (a valid original passport is preferred).

Yes — walk-in medicals are available during all clinic hours at both clinics. Booked appointments get priority, so booking is still the fastest option.
