PREPARING FOR EXAM

Preparation and What to Bring

The following is mandatory:

  • Complete our Intake Form - you will receive email link after booking an appointment

  • Government Issued ID - must bring 1 of the following:​

    • Original valid passport (Preferred) or a copy certified by a Canadian Visa Office

    • National ID Card 

    • Canadian Driver’s license

    • Refugee Protection Claimant Document

    • Refugee travel document

    • Acknowledgement of Claim and Notice to Return for Interview

    • The Interim Federal Health Certificate

  • Any Immigration Canada paperwork

    • ​Medical Report – Client Biodata and Summary (IMM1017) or

    • Express Entry Invitation Letter -  Please upload into our Intake Form

      • You may complete your exam without an Invitation Letter in preparation of your application

    • Temporary Public Policy applicants may complete Upfront Medical if you do not have the above

  • All prescription medication bottles or packages

  • Any previous medical reports

  • If you wear glasses or contacts, please bring and wear your glasses or contacts

  • Debit and Cash is accepted for all testing. Refer to Pricing Section for details

 

What to expect for your exam:

  • Immigration medical exam consist of doctor exam, urine test, chest x-ray (age dependent), and blood test (age dependent)
     

  • After your visit with the doctor, you will go for chest x-ray and blood test in the same building. Payment will be made separately to the respective department

 

  • The whole process will take approximately 1.5 hours

  • You do not need to bring a passport photo, a picture will be taken in the office.
     

  • You do not need to be fasting for bloodwork
     

  • Please drink more water prior to arrival, you will need to provide a urine sample. Menstruation will not affect your exam
     

  • Wear a loose-fitted top or T-shirt to allow for easy access to your arm for blood test
     

  • Applicants of Age 15 and under must be accompanied by their parents/legal guardian
     

  • Due to COVID19 and for the safety of both you and other applicants, a face mask is required and must be worn prior to entry into office and at all times
